With nearly a decade of dedicated training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Tyler Martin brings a deep passion for teaching, competition, and community to the mats. He began his martial arts journey with a background in boxing and mixed martial arts before committing fully to Jiu-Jitsu in 2017.

In September 2024, Professor Martin was awarded his black belt under the instruction of Spencer Mumme and Jeran Miller. Throughout his career, he has remained an active and accomplished competitor from white belt through black belt, testing his skills on both regional and professional stages. His competitive experience includes appearances with Fight 2 Win, Sapateiro, Submission Hunter Pro, as well as numerous regional tournaments.

While competition has played an important role in his development, teaching has always been his true passion. Professor Martin is committed to sharing the knowledge and lessons he has gained throughout his journey, helping students build confidence, technical skill, and a strong mindset—whether their goals are self-defense, personal growth, or competition.

At the core of the academy is a “We Over Me” culture. The gym strives to be more than a place to train; it is a family built on mutual respect, accountability, and collective growth. Every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves—on and off the mats.
